What is it?

We've used silver as an antimicrobial, disinfectant, and antiseptic for centuries. Its use has faded with the advent of modern antibiotics and disinfectants. However, it continues to be used in many applications, from disinfecting medical devices, clothing, and bedding to keeping home appliances sterile, purifying water, and topically in hospital burn units nationwide.

What does it do? 

Silver is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial, killing precisely that: a broad spectrum of microbes not limited to bacteria and viruses. Colloidal Silver consists of silver nanoparticles (smaller in size and suspension) instead of silver ions and is tenfold stronger as an antimicrobial agent. Colloidal Silver will have a color ranging from yellow/amber to brown, depending on the strength. Ionic Silver will be transparent in color.
